Travel and Leisure's America's Favorite Cities 2007 feature has a Compare page so that you can be mean to [info]ludickid see how your hometown compares to another in such vital categories as attractive people, shoe shopping and ethnic food. Austin rates highly in a lot of things I'm no longer interested in, however, being an old, married stay-at-home....

I was wrong a while back. There are bargains on eBay if you persevere. Two very nice looking Dick Hyman organ albums on Command for two bucks plus postage. Plus his essential Age of Electronicus for $3.99, which proves that if something frequently comes up for auction eventually all the other bidders you keep coming up against will get their copies and you'll be able to pick a copy up at the opening bid price. (There's another copy coming up for just a little bit more - if you like this, I'd recommend you ignore my advice and get bidding.)

Missed out on this though. Not the most fetching of covers and I'd never heard of Douglas Leedy before, but who wouldn't want a 1969 album of  "Music of the Cosmos composed and arranged for Moog and Buchia Generator and Ognob Generator"? It went for $12.50, which was way above my highest bid - but now, in the clear light of day, I see a copy being offered online for $150. Bah. Double bah.

And no, I don't know (and Google doesn't help) what an Ognob generator is.

Update: The Ognob generator, as described on the back of another Leedy album, A Very Merry Electric Christmas.
